PhotoQuests - It's About the Journey for Marvelous Moments

One of my favorite places to explore is the Pyramid Lake area of Northern Nevada. The lake and the surrounding lands are all within the Pyramid Lake Paiute Indian Reservation. Many of these areas are closed to non-tribal members and all other areas require a permit from the Tribe to visit, camp, fish or boat. Please check with Tribal rangers when visiting and obey all regulations and signs.

Since I am a member of the PLPT, many of the images that appear on this blog may have been taken in lands that are not open to visitors. Please respect the Tribe's regulations regarding these lands, the closures are meant to protect sensitive areas, tribal property and cultural resources. Some areas that have been open in the past are now closed due to the destruction of these resources by a few ignorant individuals. Unfortunately, this is a common problem throughout the west and only through education, regulation and enforcement can we hope to protect these resources for future generations.

In this blog I want to share the special beauty of Pyramid Lake and my other PhotoQuests with you. My goal is to explore the landscape and capture those special moments when light, atmosphere and nature combine to create marvelous moments.

Photoquests

Simply put, a quest for a photo, but it is really about the journey.
